Saint Louis, Missouri Speed Traps
Gravois and Hampton
Red light camera going eastbound on Gravois, my wife was going back to her mother’s house after going out for the day with two sisters and her mom for her mom’s birthday. Didn’t come to a complete stop for 5 seconds, which is the required time for the system to verify you have come to a complete stop before turning right on a red light. Nothing but revenue enhancement to a cash strapped city, results in a $100.00 fine. I guess we all need to carry a stopwatch while driving too!
Near the airport on I-70
Monday (Sept. 13, 2010) there were at least 5 or 6 cops shooting traffic with laser like an ambush on I-70 eastbound. The limit there is 55 and they got me for 18 over and the fine’s $250.00! Watch it!
N Forty Dr East of Mason Road
Town & Country Police car sitting on business entry drive with Laser east of AAA building clocking west bound drivers. Catch cars line up on entry ramp from Mason to West I-64. Police car with Laser cannot see catch car pull over speeding car. Becomes a positive ID situation-perhaps a good defense.
South Lindbergh Blvd & I-64
Ladue police sit hiding on the on ramps from lindbergh to both I64/40 west and eastbound. you cant see them until after you have flown past. drive slow!
I-44 & Big Bend Blvd
Be careful a motorcycle cop sits on the left hand shoulder under a bridge. This bridge has a little indentation that complete hides his white bike against the white concrete. Be careful by the time you see him it will to late!
