Saint Louis, Missouri Speed Traps
Telegraph Rd & Heintz Rd
When you are traveling Southbound on Telegraph the cops like to hide in the Ameren UE relay station on the right. As you can see there is a curve and it is a downhill stretch. By the time you come around the curve and pass the church its to late. Northbound motorist won’t even see it coming because of trees blocking the view.

Forest Park Expressway near Exit Number downtown Clayton
This expressway is limited access 4-lane through downtown Clayton (with Metrolink running down the middle). Clayton cops love to park on the westbound on-ramps at the Ritz or Brentwood Blvd. If you see a white car roof stationary on a ramp- hit the brakes.
Hampton Avenue near Chippewa Avenue
The police call this the "photo enforcement program." The City has installed a camera that takes a photo of EVERY SINGLE infringement.
No law enforcement official is present. The City can ticket thousands of drivers without using any additional personnel.
That is hundreds of thousands of dollars of new annual income for the City.
The City is issuing $100 tickets to the owner of the vehicle, not the driver, because it cannot identify the driver.
So my cautious right turn on a red light- without a full stop – was a costly error.
Gravois Road near Mackenzie Road
Cops will be sitting in the parking lot of O’Reilly Auto Parts and Autozone right behind the DMV building. Usually two cars sitting there facing opposite directions. Usually spot them anywhere from 7-11 at night.
