Choteau, Montana Speed Traps

Straight stretch of road for about 8 miles. This are is prone to over enforcement by the Teton County Sheriff’s Office. Many times people are stopped for minor traffic violations and then detained for longer than normal while the deputies run every type of check they can think of from driver’s license information to out of state violations. Stop time can be anywhere from 15 minutes to half hour. Young drivers or their cars are profiled quite regularly.
