St. Richards Catholic Church, Hwy. 40 through Columbia Falls

Columbia Falls, MontanaApr 27, 20101 Comments

1.) The law always sits in front of the Catholic church on Hwy 40 through Columbia Falls, with their lights off…Usually two cruisers.

2.) They also sit in the Glacier Bank parking lot, and in front of the empty/old Army/Navy building at Hwy 40 and 1st ave, just south of Nucleus Ave.

3.) They also sit across from the Super One, and in the lot west of Mike’s Conoco.

4.) They also like to hide behind Laurie’s Deli on the SE corner Hwy 40 and 4th Ave.

5.) They also like to sit (Two at a time) at the old gas station on the NW corner of 4th Ave and Hwy 40.

They’re everywhere, and they are bored…so do the speed limit!

Railroad Avenue from Nucleus Avenue to the North Fork Road

Columbia Falls, MontanaApr 21, 20101 Comments

When entering Columbia Falls from the North Fork Road, the speed limit decreases in two blocks from 45 to 35 to 25. A favorite of the local gendarmes. You are likely to fall prey for anything more than 2 miles above the limit.

State Highway 2 near US Highway 2

Columbia Falls, MontanaSep 08, 20082 Comments

The highway drops from 70 to 55 to 45 to 35 then 25 then back up. It is a four
lane blvd. and is easily safe at 35 mph. The tourist on the way to glacier park
get their wallets cleaned pretty regularly.
