Three Forks, Montana Speed Traps

The highway merges off of main st to a cross road to main street. The main street speed limit is 25mph. The turn for the merge is somewhat sharp such that it would be diffcult to negotiate the turn at a speed faster than 25mph. However immediately after the turn (approx 80ft) is a speed limit sign of 35mph. So that you are facing this sign as you are accelerating out of the turn. I received a ticket for 37mph in a 25mph zone. I was between the turn and the sign. Apparently the speed limit of 35 does not start until you cross the sign.
