Beatrice, Nebraska Speed Traps

National Park Police patrol the 45 mph speed limit around Homestead Monument, 4 miles west of Beatrice on State Hwy 4. The speed drops to 45 mph on relatively hilly terrain. It is 60 when approaching from the west and 55 from the east. Police will patrol in teams communicating by radio, and will usually clock someone at the bottom of a hill in order to get the maximum possible speed.

going east on Hoyt St. from 19th St. to about 30th it is 25 mph but going west it is 35 mph till you get to Hanible Park this is about 3/4 mile difference
