Elkhorn, Nebraska Speed Traps
Rt. 76 and Pearl
This is an approximately 4 block long speed change to 35 on a 45 road down hill. A guaranteed money maker for the local shariff. They waste no time writing the ticket. Don’t do business in Elkhorn.
State Highway 64 near 216th Street
Elkhorn city police frequently park on the south side of HWY 64 (W. Maple Rd.) and run radar on traffic going in both directions. Seems to be most common to zap westbound cars as their location is not visible until the last second when headed westbound.
Dodge Street near Mile Marker
Since a recent accident, cops have been radaring Dodge Street between 204th and 222nd. Watch out if heading east bound. It varies from where they are radaring but watch out in this area.
State Highway 64 near 192nd Street
State troopers and Douglas County Sheriff deputies often run Laser on HWY 64 (W. Maple Rd.) on westbound traffic just over the hill between 180th and 192nd street. Keep your eyes open for a navy blue, I believe it is a Dodge Ram, pickup. The Nebraska State Patrol quite often uses this completely unmarked truck to catch speeders on HWY 64 between Omaha and Valley.
Skyline Drive between Dodge and Pacific Streets
Cops will sit in the residential areas and catch you going over 30 mph.
