Seward, Nebraska Speed Traps
Highway 34 west
Officers sit on north side of 34 facing west at 14th street waiting for drivers coming into Seward from the west. There is a 50 mph limit that starts at curve west of town for east bound traffic and then reduces to 40 with short notice.
State Highway 34 near Evergreen Street
City Officers sitting on north or most the time on south side of Highway 34 catching cars east or westbound, speed limits change both directions, watch out coming into Seward anytime
5th Street near Hillcrest Street
School traffic cops run all kinds of radar from hilcrest to the High School on 5th catching kids going to school, Big Fines, the cops are in their cars but a lot of times hiding with a radar gun Big Fines.
State Highway 15 near Pinewood Street
Just on the North end of town. Police will sit on the shoulder of the road after dark with no lights on, just out from under a street lamp and clock people that should be slowing down to enter town, or are speeding up as they leave town.
Highway 34 East of town
Right before the bridge (right after John Deere) a cop sits with his lights off. Turn on your brights to "see what it is" and they really love that 😉
