Carlin, Nevada Speed Traps
Main Drag – Chestnut Street
Coming into town, you quickly go from highway speed, then see a 45 mph sign, then quickly (within 50 yards a 25 mph sign, then a 15 mph, (which I didn’t see). Had out of state plates, and going 25 mph. They pulled me over and gave me a $305 ticket for going 25 in a 15. Like most small towns out West, main drags are always 25.
I-80 Mile marker 272 East Bound
At Mile marker 272 EAST BOUND ONLY there is a crossover in the median. Officer is in the crossover and cannot be seen until too late.
City limits all of Carlin
Carlin police officers will run the plates of every and all vehicles with outta state plates. Travel lanes not clearly maked so they can get you on not maintaining your lane.
Interstate 80 near East Carlin to West Carlin Exits
Police cars in median and at times one on overpass with radar.

I80 Tunnel to Elko
I was cited for 84 MPH in a 75 MPH zone in an extremely remote area of Interstate 80 while going through a tunnel at the descent of Golconda Summit.
