Henderson, Nevada Speed Traps
Lake Las Vegas Parkway near Grand Mediterra Boulevard
Motorcycle officer hides on east side of roundabout. This is a low-traffic area in the extreme, where I have never seen an accident.
Eastern Avenue near Terrytown Avenue
Motorcycle cops sit on Terrytown or another cross street and catch morning motorists speeding heading North on Eastern. A favorite spot because (for some stupid reason) it switches from 45 on Sun City Anthem to 35 mph for this short stretch of Eastern running by Vons, then back to 45 mph. People commonly do about 50 mph or so thinking its a 45 zone. If they catch you, it’s a painful ticket — Watch Out!
Eastern Avenue near Horrizon Ridge Road
Henderson PD constantly pull over motorist, driving on the down grade of Eastern. The natural mountian slant which increases vehicle speeds. Even the court judges support what ever the cops say.
Pebble Road near Pecos Road
Henderson Police constantly go down Pebble between Green Valley Parkway and Eastern trying to get speeding cars, they will drive down the road or sit on one of the side streets.
Serene Street near Eastern Avenue
Serene Street between Pecos and Eastern is an odd, roller-coaster residential street which is posted at 25 mph. Police sit on cross streets and manage to catch many careless motorists because it is not easy to keep speed that low. A friend was fined over $200 for going 37mph! Beware!
