Cactus & Bermuda
The speed trap is located on Cactus between Las Vegas Boulevard and Bermuda. The jurisdiction is the City of Las Vegas going into Henderson. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers normally hide out in the driveway of the only two sub-divisions on Cactus between Las Vegas Boulevard and Bermuda. There are a few posted signs for a 25 miles per hour speed limit however, the location is a long vacant empty road with nothing on either sides for the first mile other than two concrete walls that line the exterior of two quiet sub-divisions. The police appears to show up late night Friday & Saturday night. From about 12 AM to day break. No reason for such a slow speed limit when considering the area and the amount of traffic and activity. Easy money generator for the city.
