McCarran Boulevard near Greensboro Drive

As you are coming down the hill, from say the Skyline area toward Kietzke, It’s a very steep grade and slowing down immediately is almost impossible. It’s like shooting fish in a barrel. These 3 motorcycle cops hide off of McCarran
behind the shrubbery at Greensboro and basically pick you off as you are coming down the hill.

4th Street near Cemetary Road

Reno, NevadaJan 22, 20070 Comments

The motorcycle (3)cops hide out behind the fence at Cemetary Rd or across the street by the Martial Arts School
parking lot. They use Radar to get you primarily when you come out of the 45mph zone, traveling east from McCarran to the 35mph zone. There is a downhill grade there and it is easy to get trapped as the speed limit signs are not well posted and the grade naturally makes you speed up some.

Coming downhill (eastbound) from Keystone, 2 motorcycle leo’s like to hide in the little turn in for the dog park. They will also cut across and get westbound traffic.

Interstate 80

On I-80 past California state line, and Sierra Nevada mountains (about 5 miles into Nevada) all the way to Reno. Never failed to see someone get stopped by Nevada Highway Patrol. I was ambushed there once by a cop who had all his lights off, and waiting on the shoulder.

Rock Boulevard near Energy Way

At least two cops on two motorbikes. Will write you a ticket for as little as 10 over the limit (posted limit is 45, but 80% of traffic is 55mph during the past several years). I guess they finally decided to clamp down. While I was being written my own ticket, they pulled over another vehicle and cited them. 10 min later, they pulled another one over and cited them.
