Lebanon, New Hampshire Speed Traps
Sometimes one shooting north, often two shooting both or either way and just waiting to wave you over, most often during the summer months.
When boardening the section of Rt 120 just south of the traffic light between the main access road to DHMC (Hospital) and Centerra Business Park, a large portion of pavement in the median leading to the inersection was marked off, inexplicably sacrificing a large stretch of a full lane that could have significantly helped traffic and Hospital access.
The local police and sometimes state police set up there regularly. there are 4 to 6 lanes, without divider, but the speed limit is 40!!!
Police will sit all along this stretch of road. When you get off exit 19 and head toward Lebanon on Rte 4 they will be within the first 1/2 mile.
State police will setup in the northbound breakdown lane just before Exit 17 looking south and clocking vehicles. In summer months the officer may be on a motorcycle.
NH State Police set up in median just south of the exit ramp to catch northbound traffic. You’ll pass a weigh station, then a straightaway turns to a downhill stretch. Part of an increased presence in the Upper Valley region.
