Avalon, New Jersey Speed Traps

Drivers coming off Townsends Inlet Bridge connecting from Sea Isle City are virtually guaranteed of getting a speeding ticket in the summer months during late night/early morning hours (10 PM – 4 AM). Enforcement is highly excessive and consistent with resort-city exploitation of outsiders. While the bulk of ticketing is done to southbound drivers on Ocean Drive, some ticketing is also done to northbound drivers. Beware when driving in Avalon. Their police are more than happy to "serve" you.
