Talamini Road near Glen Ridge Swim Club

Bridgewater, New JerseyOct 31, 20070 Comments

Cops sit at swim club, hidden by trees and brush so you can’t see them until its way too late. A favorite spot of theirs–Cop had asked me…"Don’t you know this is our favorite spot?" Duh if I would have I wouldn’t have gotten caught.

Crim Road

Bridgewater, New JerseyAug 16, 20070 Comments

Bridgewater Police like to sit in the parking lot for the Crim School and sometimes in the driveway to the park across the street. It is very easy to speed on Crim road, since you are coming down a steep hill towards the school…

State Route 22 near North Bridge Street

Bridgewater, New JerseyJun 21, 20070 Comments

There’s a dirt track in the median of 22; when going West it is just after the Midas repair shop, when going east, it’s just before it. They usually sit facing the West bound side to try and grab people coming off of 287 in the left and middle lanes. Keep it below 65mph and you should be okay. You can’t see them when coming up on them so you never know if they are there or not. Keep your eyes open and see if there’s someone else moving faster than you and make really sure you’re going slower than they are. Also, be careful of the U-turns. People regularly pull out of there without considering how fast you might be going, then they don’t bother to speed up within any normal time frame. Also, especially at the u-turn by the diner, they tend to do ‘suicide runs’ straight across all 3 lanes of traffic to get to the buisnesses on the other side of the highway. So keep your eyes open and pay complete attention, especially while in the left lane.

Interstate 287 near Exit Number 14A

Bridgewater, New JerseyMay 21, 20070 Comments

State Troopers generally sits on the median in the turn around break almost immediately along side of exit 14A on the north bound side and just after exit 14A for Rt 22 eastbound on the south bound side. There is a tree covered mound that hides them from the south bound traffic and center median bushes that shelter them from the north bound traffic.

State Highway 22 West near Interstate 287 West

Bridgewater, New JerseySep 11, 20060 Comments

This speedtrap is set up on Route 22 West in the vicinity of the exit off of I-287 West in Bridgewater, which is located in Somerset County.

You have to be careful, especially in the AM Rush Hour, as these cops are contantly changing their location. Sometimes they are hiding in the store parking lots off to the left, and sometimes they are in plain sight on the right shoulder.

Please be advised that the entire length of Route 22 (both East and West) through the Town of Bridgewater is a "Safety Corridor", which means that the fines for all traffic violations are doubled!

I recently got nailed for driving 70 MPH in a 55 MPH zone on a totally empty highway (This happened at 6:00 AM on the Friday before Labor Day), and I had to pay a $210 fine!
