Chatham, New Jersey Speed Traps
Main Street by the Train Station
Chatham Borough police have been spotted in the train station parking lot, watching traffic fly through the 30 mph zone on Main Street. The cops are not seen running this trap that much anymore, though around 2006/2007 this was a popular trap, so it will likely come back one day. Slow down!!!
River Road
The entire Road from Rte. 24 in Summit Through Long Hill patrolled with Police hidden along the sides of the road. They will pull you over for any infraction especially later in the evening through the night.
Southern Boulevard near Fairmount Avenue
Cruisers typically park behind the Old Schoolhouse at the intersection of Fairmount Avenue and Southern Boulevard. Although they are watching primarily for cars blowing through the red/yellow light, they also watch for approaching/departing speeders.
River Road near Bridge from Passaic Ave. in New Providence
Police park either up the new steep side street on north side or in a pull-off in the wooded area on south side of street in the block between the Passaic Ave. bridge from NP and the left turn to Southern Blvd.
KINGS Road
Kings road is in both the east and west direction is patrolled by police officers positioned in a hidden driveway making viseability difficult at best. by the time you see the patrol car you have already been captured on RADAR.
