Clinton Town, New Jersey Speed Traps

small town cop actually parks on grass just around line of sight due to radius of turn in union twp, on an entrance ramp to an interstate- a 35mph zone ends at township line-it is natural to accelerate to entering a 65mph interstate-uphill tempting one to step on gas pedal even more so as not to collide with tt’s going 70mph. i see out of towner getting nailed almost daily-locals know better. Im surprised police cjhief or SP hasn’t stopped this dangerouse practice. . the traffic stops are usually on the interstate near the only truck stop exit with tired, weary, truckers exiting., potential deady combo.
its a very dangerouse area-were working on raising limit to 45mph on last 1/2 mile and putting boulders up to prevent this out of town patrol car causing a liability to our towns resources. truly surprised the pd supervisors haven’t seen the big picture here, in weighing stop safety for occupants and patrol car on a historically dangerous area-common sense one would think…..
