Freehold, New Jersey Speed Traps
Police are in car or standing by road with Radar in the parking lot of playground.
Cops will sit inside side roads and stand on the corner with a radar/laser gun. They will pull over the cars themselves and or call it into a cop on the next block or two. Speed limit is 25, should be 30-35.
Headed towards 9. Kowalski Bypass becomes E.Freehold Rd after crossing 79. Speed limit drops from 50 to 35 very suddenly. Police are regularly enforcing the limit, usually hiding out in parking lots of the parks in that area or some of the development side roads.
Radar enforcement mainly during late morning/early afternoon hours. Police will sit along side of road by field, and stop violators along Robertsville Road.
The cop stations himself in the Mall’s Parking lot by Sears and aims their Radar at passing motorists on the loop.
They also function in pairs.
Speed limit is unrealistic at 25 MPH and they seem not to pay attention to traffic violators within the parking lot of the mall where there are pedestrians
