Helmetta, New Jersey Speed Traps

Sits at the end of Maple Drive where it meets Helmetta Blvd. It’s 25 and you better be going 25. High population area with people walking dogs etc. They mean business so be careful. They also just changed the speed limit on Helmetta Blvd to 25 mph in the limits of Helmetta so be careful they watch both ends in their Boro, their watching.

Be very careful when on Helmetta Blvd. heading towards Main St. The cops love to hide in the woods even though E. Brunswick is 40 mph it quickly changes to 25 mph near the swamp. Be sure to signal your turn (left or right) when you have to turn at the end of Helmetta Blvd. Also, be very careful to slow down to 25 mph. Be also aware that you need to come to a complete stop Before the railroad tracks. There isn’t a Stop sign there, but it’s freshly painted on the road just before the RR crossing sign. Cops love to hide there too. Nearly as bad, if not worse, than Jamesburg!

The Monroe Township side of Old Forge is 40mph. When you go over the small bridge it turns into Helmetta and the speed limit goes down to 25mph. An officer waits on the Helmetta side of the bridge.
