Jacobstown, New Jersey Speed Traps

Speed limit going West on Rte. 528 changes from 50 mph, to 40 mph, then 50′ away, it drops to 25 mph, not giving anyone time to slow down. This is a well-known speed trap in the area.

While traveling on Rt 528 heading east into New Egypt, just before you pass the Jacobstown firehouse, the speed limit drops from 45 mph to 25 mph, with no warning. There is a very sharp curve here, and cops like to hide out on either side of the bend and catch speeders from both directions. The majority of the time, you can’t see them until it’s too late.
