Mansfield, New Jersey Speed Traps
Route 68 south from Route 206
State troopers and local cruisers wait in the entrance to the NADA new car distribution facility and pick up people headed south on Route 68, night and day. In addition to the 55 mph speed limit on this divided highway, they will also nail people for driving in the left lane.
NOTE: At night, they will come up behind you and tailgate you to get you to speed up, then pull you over! If someone tailgates you along here, your best bet is to signal and pull to the right, even if it means pulling onto the shoulder and stopping. Whatever you do, DO NOT SPEED UP!
Route 206 N & S By Agway
Mansfield cops sit on the street next to the agway and watch north & southbound traffic. Also a little further south on Rt. 206 they sit near the Valero gas station & the office building across the road. You have to be careful on that stretch of Route 206 North & South because Mansfield cops have a field day pulling people over day & night, especially in at night. Also, state police patrol 206 in this area so you have a better chance of being caught if your speeding.
State Highway Route 68 near White Pine Road
They sit at the bottom of the hill off of the northbound shoulder facing north bound traffic. Those guys pick-em off one by one almost every morning. People dont realize the speed limit is only 55mph.
US Highway Route 130
Police sit by the entrance to the rock quarry where they widened the road. Speed limit is 50 but the road looks like a straightaway at the Daytona 500. Be careful. Mansfield cops are constantly stopping cars on Route 130. They keep making u-turns between Florence and Bordentown going back and forth on 130 looking for speeders and non-seat belt wearers.
New Jersey Turnpike near Exit Number 5
Watch out about a mile after Exit 6 when headed South– you’ll enter Mansfield municipality, and they trap like no joke. There are some small rolling hills on the Turnpike at this point, and they exploit them. (I got nailed on stationary radar at 2:30am…)
