As you descend the hill eastbound on Park road there will be a radar trap and a police car at Hennion Drive to pull you over if you exceed the posted speed limit at the top of the hill near the Montessori School.

State Highway 10 West near US Highway 202

Parsippany, New JerseyFeb 21, 20080 Comments

On 10-West a few hundred feet before US-202 there is commerical property that is unlit at night. It’s a perfect place for the police to wait and check your speed. Route 10 has a posted limit of 50 mph, which is frequently ignored by at least 5-15 mph by most motorists during most time of the day. Since it is connected to I-287, it’s very easy to forget that you are risking a 3-4 point ticket by not slowing down. The road is 3-4 lanes in the section between I-287 and US-20; so, it looks like a higher speed road. While daytime speeding seems to be more tolerated, at night your are an easy target. Slow down! Unless you want to make a donation to the Parsippany traffic court.

State Route 202 North/Littleton Road near Marmora Road

Parsippany, New JerseyFeb 20, 20081 Comments

There is a sneaky cop who sits in an unmarked car right on the median on Marmora Road where it meets 202 and the 80 East on-ramp. He sits right where people begin to speed up to get onto 80 and pulls them all over. I can say I haven’t gotten a ticket from it, but I know many who have. This is the definition of a trap.

Halsey Road near State Route 202

In the new Parsippany Library Parking Lot. Late night when I am coming home, I always see one far back into the lot so you cant see him when you come around the turn. I would advise not to go faster then 30-35 mph because you will most likely get a ticket.
