Parsippany, New Jersey Speed Traps
Edwards Road near Between Vail Road and Rt. 46
Due to Rockaway Meadow School in the vicinity, police are there most times when school is open but even times it is not. 25 MPH zone. They will ticket you for going 26 mph.
Lake Shore Lower Road near Mohawk or Sioux Avenue
Unmarked or marked with no overhead lightbars park on the side Avenues off lower Lake Shore in Lake Hiawatha. The cars are facing the bottom of the hills blocking access to the side streets. It is only possible to do 25 MPH if you ride your brakes from the top of the street (North Beverwyck). Trees obscure the vehicles until he is already locked on to you.
State Route 80 near Exit Number 42
The center median turn around is a notorious spot for catching vehicles at the base of the 1.4 mile hill from Denville into Parsippany (East bound). It is located where the center median is divided by a thick grove of trees and the hills ends in a slight curve so you cannot see the Troopers until they have you on radar. Going West the Troopers snag people trying to hit this steep incline fast so they can make the top at something resembling the highway speed.
Meadow Bluff Road near Between Old Dover Road and Mountain Way
Unmarked car in a residential district, parked on side of road to blend in with other parked cars. Gets people in both directions. Out there many mornings, as the street is marked at 25 (although nothing in the municipal statutes indicate such a low speed for this street) but most drive 40.
