Parsippany, New Jersey Speed Traps

Residential speed trap. Road curves by the Knollwod School, then straightens out when approaching Vail Road. Unmarked car sits on the straight part – you cannot see him on the curvy part. These guys like to sit there on school holidays when people might relax their vigilance driving on this road.

Residential speed trap. Unmarked car (usually a burgundy older Chevy Caprice). This is a busy ‘short-cut’ street and the cops know it. Parsippany has become a real ticket mill.

There is a very difficult move to make a left-hand turn (no light, sort of a semi-jughandle)) on Rt. 202 southbound after exiting Rt. 80, to head towards Littleton Road. If you miss the turn you must go down a half-mile to make a U-turn. Police commonly stake out this area to catch people making illegal U-ies. This is a very busy road southbound in the morning (empty northbound), so many people try to turn to find a less-congested route. Much $$$ for the town – these guys are out there five days a week.

As the ramp puts you on 287 south there is a very large hill where NJSP sit at the bottom, however, late at night and at other times the sit at the top of the hill which cannot be seen till after you are caught.
