Plainsboro, New Jersey Speed Traps

Construction zone is posted 40, but for much of it (except the bridge right after the altered area which you do have to slow down in) is unobstructed, leading motorists to ignore it. Saw trap set pretty late at night, cop was hiding at the entrance to route 1 from Plainsboro rd. and drove like a bat out of hell (90+) to catch someone up ahead. Remember that NJ construction zone limits apply 24/7 (crazy I know) so if you are not in a pack of cars, drive really slow.

Just passed there this evening. There was a dodge charger just parked on the grass hidden by the trees pointing towards the longer part part of Dey Road away from Scudders Mill. Speed limit is 45 mph. I could not believe how well hidden that car was. It is right before the entrance to the school. Be careful.

They typically do it in the morning and late afternoon. It’s more of a threat if you coming from the neighborhood and you’re going through that long loop then you see the soccer field. Right after that there’s a hill by the entry way to the playground. The cop car parks there pointed towards the on coming curve ready for ticketing.

This was a recent addition. My guess is residents kept complaining about the amount of cars not stopping. The Hawthorne/ Larkspur area combines in to this intersection and it’s a place where nobody really comes to a full stop. Same with the Sycamore/ Walker Gordon Dr they wait for you and tell you to pull over while they are on foot.

This was a first. So far they’ve been here Thursday’s between 6-8 pm. Cops actually stand behind the tall trees here to see if you come to a full stop coming in from the neighborhood entrance to the intersection of Sycamore. Cops are lined up ready to take you down Sycamore and Heron. Cops walk and tell you to pull over. It was amazing how they did it. Cars were pulled over one by one and there was a line of five cars.
