Old Freehold Road.

Toms River, New JerseyFeb 24, 20120 Comments

There are two spots on Old Freehold Road. frequented by local cops.
The first is right next to the Bey Lea Nursing Home across from Intermediate West Way. There is a dirt service road next to the drainage ditch where cops sit with all their lights off at night.
The second is in the MonDon Lacrosse/Baseball/Soccer field parking lot located on Whitty Road, near where Old Freehold Road goes beneath the GS Parkway. There are lots of pine trees lining the edge of the parking lot giving the police ample cover. You won’t see them until you are already passing them. Don’t forget the speed limit on this road is 45, anything over 50 is a bad idea

Route 37 at the Tunney Bridge

Toms River, New JerseyMar 29, 20110 Comments

I have gotten stopped twice by this portly Toms River cop on Route 37 coming off the bridge. Each time he accused me of drinking alcohol when I did not. You definitely go over fifty coming down that slope on the bridge so be careful.

Corner of Fischer Blvd. and Hooper Ave.

Toms River, New JerseyMar 17, 20100 Comments

Going West on Fischer Blvd, right before you come to Hooper ave. A cop sits on the left in the Golf indoor range parking lot. Be careful, he sits facing the other way, so you think he is watching cars coming going east on Fischer, but he really has his radar in the back window, facing west! He is usually there in the morning.
