Woodbridge, New Jersey Speed Traps
Wood Ave betw Rt 27 and GSP
Cops hide in business driveway and shoot up or dwn road which has a very low (25MPH) speed limit
Green Street in Iselin
The entire Green Street in Iselin is a 25 MPH zone in which all of the traffic is generally at 40-50 MPH. Always check your rear view mirrors as cops patrol this area regularly, especially on the weekends.
Garden State Parkway N/S near Route 1 interchange
Going North on the GSP, State Troopers hide on left behind Bridge. Check for brake lights as you come over hill. For both directions, there is a Trooper U-turn just south of the bridge noted above. Cars are hidden until you are close. Very Active around end of Month and holidays.
MetroPark Station
Near MetroPark usually on Friday and Saturday Nights, cops like to take out unsuspecting motorists ( teenagers especially )Easy to plea bargain.
Entire Town
One bit of advice….do NOT speed in Woodbridge, NJ. I’m from the town, and know this very well. All the highways are strictly enforced. Be especially aware of the current Rt. 1 & 9 construction…the speed limit is 40 MPH and will remain that low for the duration of the project….and the Woodbridge cops love patrolling that area! Even with a PBA card and being an EMT/Firefighter, you still will get a ticket. There are "horror stories" about every town (including Woodbridge…someone I know got a ticket for doing 27 in a 25 at 2:00 in the morning)….but Woodbridge cops really enforce EVERY speed limit in their town. Just be careful, follow the pace of other traffic, and don’t be stupid, and you’ll be fine.
