Coal, east of I-25, going up the hill, near Tulane.

Couple of motorcycle police officers with speed "guns". Posted speed is 30 but all traffic averages 40. This is a revenue trap. I am not from here and it was most unpleasant being treated like a New Mexican.

Rio Grande Blvd at Mountain Road

Police car sits and waits for traffic to turn on to Mountain Road coming from the North or South on Rio Grande Blvd. This is at the North end of the Old Town shopping district. Speed limit turns into 18 MPH!?! After going only 70 mph on the race track also known as I-40 all the way from El Morro I get stopped and ticketed by a local cop only seconds from where I was staying during my vacation. Thanks a lot local cops. I guess small population states like New Mexico need some way to increase revenue. A nice way to end my final evening in Albuquerque before flying home the next day.

Gibson (W) and I-25

Albuquerque, New MexicoSep 29, 20100 Comments

Westbound Gibson right past I-25. Posted speed is 35mph. Vacent business right past on ramp can house upto 4 police cars. E side of I-25 on Gibson is 45. Easy to catch you going over the speed limit and most people travel 45+ on that path. Watch out.
