Albuquerque, New Mexico Speed Traps
Interstate 40 near Just West of Juan Tabo
Several cops (as many as 10) sit with a motorcycle cop between the Euban and Juan Tabo exits on east-bound I-40. The motorcycle cop sits there and shoots you with radar while the other cops go get you. I’ve seen this many times, especially Tuesday mornings between 7 and 8 AM.
Bridge Boulevard near Goff Boulevard
Right alongside the indoor flea market strip center (was a SoLo market until recently) adjacent to Bridge Blvd. Units park in the shopping center’s parking lot, one portable radar gun usually pointing toward eastbound traffic. Other officers guide offending vehicles into parking lot to be ticketed.
Vista Del Norte Street near Osuna Road
North or Southbound Vista Del Norte between Osuna and Las Lomitas. 30 MPH Zone Radar and Laser. Most of the time they hide sometimes just sit in the turn bays. This road yielded 300 citations in one month. They will do heavy enforcement, then lax, then heavy again. Beware!
Edith NE Boulevard near Osuna Boulevard
The Sheriffs Dept has one to three cars that park between Osuna and Montano on Edith, mostly at the Circle K on Edith. They may be stocking the girls in Circle K or they are hiding from their supervisor and the Sheriff Daren White.
Rio Bravo Boulevard near Del Rio Boulevard
A motorcycle cop will be in the ditch and he will step in front of you to pull over.
