Dulce, New Mexico Speed Traps
HW 64, about 3mi south of Dulce before the reservation edge.
There is wide open road and a 55 mph speed limit. They had 2 marked Ford Explorers with radar working both directions and after you come over a slight rise, they have you painted. It cost me $100 when I got caught, and while I was getting my ticket, the other cop caught 2 other cars heading north. Be careful! Stay within the limit and not get dinged like I did.

This is a Jicarilla Indian Reservation Police speed trap. There is only one road into the town of Dulce from the south. Entering town from the south there is often a black truck on the road which has moving radar. They turn around and stop you to issue a citation (which does NOT show up on your state license or your insurance company.) *** Note – it is illegal to carry a loaded weapon in your car on the Reservation. The fine is minimum $500. Unload your weapon and store the ammunition separately if you have one.
