Rio Rancho, New Mexico Speed Traps
3900 Block of Southern Blvd near NM 528
Evidently Southern Blvd, a major thoroughfare, slows to 30 mph near its intersection with NM 528. I was issued a speed camera ticket for $100 for doing 41 mph in a 30 mph zone. Southern is 45 mph in most places so I must have missed the speed limit change.
3300 BLOCK OF 19TH AVE
EMPTY RIO RANCHO POLICE VEHICLE (SUV TYPE) SITTING EMPTY!!ON NORTH SIDE OF 19TH AVE. 25 MPH ZONE!!!!!!!!!
Sabana Grande Ave.
There appears to be a camera, either fixed or in a van. Although it is an avenue the claimed speed limit is 25mph.
Nicklaus Dr at Fairway Loop intersection
2-3 motorcycle cops sit (hide) at the corner of Fairway Loop intersecton with Nicklaus (south most intersection of Fairway Loop) checking speeds with radar and pulling people over (usually mid-morning). Sometimes 3-4 cars pulled over at once. The speed limit on Nicklaus Dr. is 25mph – beware.
