New Mexico Highway 4 through the Village of San Ysidro
The road through San Ysidro is patrolled by four different law enforcement groups–sometimes all at the same time! These would be: the NM State Police, the Sandoval County Sheriff’s office, The Jemez Tribal Police, and the San Ysidro Town Marshall. I know people who have been nailed for only 1 mph over the speed limit on NM Hwy 4, so don’t even think of speeding on this road!

Town has one convenience store and thats it! speed laws strictly enforced both directions,in or out of town.adhere to posted speed limit signs always and save yourself a headache.

NM State Road 44, from about 3 miles either side, all the way through town.
San Ysidro has been a speed trap for years, and with no way around town it’s just best to slow down until you’re well out of town.
