Shiprock, New Mexico Speed Traps

The listing location says US 666 and I cannot chnage it but the highway problem in on 491 at Shiprock, New Mexico. Just South of the Colorado boarder on US491 the posted speed drops from 65 to 55 on a four lane highway and the police are waiting in mass the trap goes south on 491 through Shiprock and beyond. They have big signs psoted saying 55. Be careful they think you are their personal ATM

Navajo Nation Police (Shiprock P.D.) target out of state plates. I was doing 65mph (posted speed limit) on cruise control, when an officer coming in the other direction made a u-turn with lights on. Pulled me mover and said his radar clocked me doing 76 in the 65 mile an hour zone. He told me I could pay the fine ($54) or contest it. I’m contesting it. Wish me luck.
