Socorro, New Mexico Speed Traps

Patrol car is usually located at the highway historic marker sign just where a hill breaks and shoots both southwest for traffic coming into Socorro and back to the break where people top out, and there he is.

After passing Dr. Goforth Chiropractic 826 Hwy 60 SW and the railroad track there is always a police officer waiting for speeders over the hill the speed limit is set for 35 MPH and this seems to be very slow for being a HWY which is headed out of town.

Was coming over the final hill before Socorro and was ticketed. Might have something to do with a State police station less than a quarter mile from this location.
