Albany, New York Speed Traps

Best Western On Western Ave. The Albany Police sit with in the parked cars, facing south and north bound traffic. Also, right across the street at the gast station( next to the western ave entrance to SUNY) a small speed trap. Mostly guarded during the evening hours between 6:30 and 10:30. Will strech into the early morning hours.. watch. will ticket. speed limit is posted at 40mph. will ticket for anything over 40 mph. Most traffic drive at over 50mph.

On Manning Blvd heading towards Washington Ave,a marked Albany Police car sits on the right side almost at the end of Manning before you come to Washington Ave. Please be careful,you will get a ticket from the cop who`s only job must be to catch "speeders".

Central ave west bound just before you reach the colonie border. Albany police sit in a little cove between the I 90 overpass and the RR overpass. You won’t see him until it’s too late.

I 90 east bound just after coming out of the exit 24 toll plaza. State troopers park in the u-turn just past the 187 overpass.

usually an albany police car sits on the right sholder of I 90 east bound between the exit 2 off ramp and on ramp. This usually only occurs during the spring and summer months.
