The NYPD frequently sets up unmarked cars with radar guns along this stretch, especially at night. Beware!
4th Avenue from Atlantic Avenue to 65th Street
This is one of the most notorious speed traps in all of New York City! I’ve received three bogus tickets myself in just the past month. Beware!!!
6th Ave and Prospect Ave
There’s a speed camera mounted on a pole near the overpass here.
Coming of the gowanus on 65 th st and 6 th ave
There are 2 lanes those in the left lane can either make a left to go on to the gowanus or go straight along 6 th ave..Those who stay on the right lane and make a left follows the green arrow towards 7 th ave…Apparently there are arrows on the street with a mixture of potholes and traffic which is impossible to see..Right lane not permitted to make a left and follow the green arrow to make a right. I went back after my ticket of $138 to observe and take video and pictures..
Bottom line everyone was doing it. Quotas is all I can think of. So drivers be careful it’s time for police officers to fulfill their quota.
