Rt 144 approaching the Hamlet from the North

Coeymans, New YorkJul 19, 20100 Comments

There is a long straightaway which goes beneath the cement plant’s conveyor belt. Just to the North and West of the conveyor there is a spot where cop cars pull up off the road and hide in the bushes.

Approximately 3 miles past 396 traveling south on 144 a police officer is usually dispatched on the right on a ridge. Often present late at night. Landmarks before it include a farm on both sides of the road, field on the left, store on the right,(right after passing a section with houses and trees).

State Route 9W near Miller Road

When travelling north on 9W the trap is past the high school (on the left), past the cement plant entrance (on right). Just past the cement plant entrance, you will go down a hill and see another hill to go up on the other side (known as the twin dips) at the bottom of the dips, to the left when traveling north, an officer sits hidden in the trees on the right hand side of miller road (right next to 9W to catch 9W speeders mainly). When coming south, you’ll hit a straight section, traffic will filter to one lane, you’ll go up a slight grade, and after reaching the top with trailer parks on both sides you’ll go down a big hill. At the bottom towards the right will be a cop hidden in trees facing towards incoming traffic from the south.

About 2 miles before the exit to route 90 east, before albany and before crossing the large brown bridges, there is sometimes a state trooper waiting in the middle between northbound and southbound lanes (nabbed me last time i went through that area)
