Colonie, New York Speed Traps

It’s 25mph fr Central Ave to the RR tracks. Go slow…I was pulled over one morning where there were only 2 cars on the road. Me and the Colonie PD.
I’ve had 2 tickets in the last 10 ys both on this road!!!

Colonie police are noted for giving nonsense tickets. They heavily patrol Rt.5 and not only ticket speeding but things like having an acrylic plate cover and saying you did not signal long enough before changing lanes. This is just a bad area. Try to take the side roads.

While traveling on Consaul Road going towards Schenectady, between Vly Rd and Albany-Shaker Rd, just west of the entrance to the Memory Gardens Cemetary. They sit on the eastbound side just past Westchester Drive where the road starts to slope downhill, and it’s easy to exceed the 30mph speed limit. I’ve lived in the area for a long time and see a car there frequently.
