Corfu, New York Speed Traps
State Route 77 near State Route 33
As you are heading south on Rte 77 preparing to enter the village limits of Corfu you will crest a hill and the limit changes from 55 to 35. The officers sit in the cemetery drive or in a electric utility lot and catch you heading south. They also will get cars and trucks that speed up excessively as they exit the village because it is just swamp on either side of the road giving the appearance of rural roads.

2 Major state highways run thru this village. Patrols use marked, unmarked and persons standing on side of the side of the road with a portable laser and pull over cars farther down road. Very businesslike and don’t usually warn. This village is about 3 miles north of Darien Lake Campground and amusement park. Lots of officers just looking to write.
