Cortland, New York Speed Traps

City police always sit in the cemetery on Tomkins. They also sometimes park in the parking lot adjacent to the cemetery. Sometimes they are very noticable but most of the time they are tucked back. Posted speed limit is 30 but flow of traffic is around 40. I was told by a police officer when he patrols this section of the road he would allow 45 mph

between bear mountain parkway extension and mohegan lake i have seen multiple troopers and just outside of mohegan lake yorktown town cops on rt. 6. cortland doesnt have town police anymore so the state troopers and westchester county cops patrol this area be aware of speed limits because they change like 5 times within this maybe 3 mile long stretch
