Old Glenham Road near Kip House/RailRoad Salvage Furniture

Fishkill, New YorkMay 15, 20050 Comments

Late at night the police pull into the road that takes you from Old Glenham Road, to The Railroad Salvage Furniture place, the road is almost a blind driveway, as it is a heavily wooded area there and they back their cars in and radar people, also they pull their cars into the woods to the right of the entrance to that road, and will catch you with the radar that way too

Taconic State Parkway NORTH and I-84

Fishkill, New YorkJun 29, 20020 Comments

State Police will sit in median on the Taconic right before the I-84 overpass (monitoring northbound traffic). Oftentimes well hidden, but anyone entering the Taconic North from 84 East will notice it. I’ve seen this trap nearly every time I come off of 84 onto Taconic North midday and have seen a few people pulled over as a result of this trap. Posted limit is 55 but I haven’t seen anyone do 55 on this road in awhile. Norm is 65-70. They’ll pull you over for anything over 65. This can be a trap for those coming onto the Taconic as well because they can judge your merge as being reckless and ticket you for that. It is a one-car job – but the rest stop mentioned in the other speed trap (a little further up N) is now closed and motorists cannot access it from the highway.
