State Highway 5S near Exit Number Frankfort exit to Dyke Rd exit
State and/or Town Police use radar and/or laser at the U-turn by the Mucky Run Rd overpass (~1 mi W of the Frankfort exit). The State boys will sit just off the overpass and shoot laser on westbound traffic, radioing ahead to units on the side of the road about a mile ahead.
There’s also a couple of U-turn areas where they set up about 1.5 mi E of the Dyke Rd exit…westbound traffic is susceptible due to a crest in the road just before the U-turns.
Town Police like to sit at the top of the Dyke Rd eastbound on-ramp and shoot radar from behind. The on-ramp is elevated from the road and provides a good vantage point for police to shoot without being noticed until it’s too late.
