Goshen, New York Speed Traps

Going west on 17M past between South Street and Rte 207 (Greenwich Ave) the speed drops from 55 to 30. The PD is usually hiding to the left (on the median between 17 M and Route 17).

State Police camp out on the Westbound entrance ramp and target vehicles as they pass the ramp. They cannot be seen until it is too late. The troopers also often park a radar vehicle in the median under the bridge and relay the speeder’s license tag number to a pickup vehicle on the ramp or further up the road.

State police have numerous traps between Goshen and Newburgh – any area where the speed limit drops from 55 to 45 or lower. Look for them in Campbell Hall, Hamptonburgh, and especially in Little Britain near the entrance to Stewart Int’l Airport (Little Britain Elementary School).

Often waiting at the entrance to the county jail. Also will catch you when they are coming at you.
