Horseheads, New York Speed Traps

HHDS pd sit under the bridge around school time to catch people
trying to beat the red lights to get on 17/86. Rarely do they watch
East bound getting off highway.

this used to be a 55 mph road. corn field on one side and air port on the other. straigt shot. they put up some houses on the end and changed te speed limit to 30 but only in front of the houses. so if your going 55 and dont slam on the brakes rite at the sign they get you. they set up on a gravel pit road backed into a row of pine trees . they got me there i was slowing down but not slaming on brakes fast enough for them. this is one of main routes to the airport

The hole Grand Central Ave is a target area from I-86 south to Elmira Heights,at the end of Grand Central Ave heading south where Horseheads ends and Elmira Heights,the cops sit behind piles of grassy dirt on the right and are well hidden until it is way to late,there is a landscaping biz with piles of mulch and trees just before this trap….Once you get a visual in the landscaping deal you better slow down…..

As you enter the village of Horseheads from the south the speed limit changes from 40 to 30 and the village police frequently have radar there.

Center lane turn around. Police sit in middle of highway shooting radar east and West.
