Irondequoit, New York Speed Traps
Empire Blvd going east
This is at At the bottom of the hill located just East of the intersection of Winton and Empire. It is there approximately once a month
Norton Street near Across from Densmore Road.
A cop sits in a drive way across from the school, I see him handing out tickets a lot.
St. Paul Boulevard near Simpson Road
Cruisers park on Simpson a bit from the stop sign at St. Paul and monitor for speeders on St. Paul. They probably alternate between there and Rogers Pkwy. Weekend mornings are usually the time to be really careful.
Kings Highway Road near Titus Street
North of Titus Avenue, where the road goes through Durand-Eastman Park, the speed limit goes down from 30 mph (where there are some dips and sharp curves) to 20 mph for the park, where the road finally levels off and becomes somewhat straight. Irondequoit Police (who heavily enforce speed limits) and Monroe County Sheriffs patrol the area, and hide in the park parking lots and nab you. Note: The M.C.S. dept. also patrols Lakeshore Blvd. With a posted speed limit of 35 mph. which was reduced from either 45 or 50 mph. when they changed the lanes form 4 to 2, to cut down on drag racing. They like to hang out in the beach lots, or tucked in access roads for the park.
St. Paul Boulevard near Rogers Parkway
Cruisers will often be hidden in the median on Rogers Parkway (on the right if headed north on St. Paul)
