Jordan, New York Speed Traps

Jordan Road, Hamilton Street, and Route 31 entries into Village. They are enforcing like crazy these days, sometimes with local police and sometimes with Troopers. Drive time- guaranteed, random times otherwise.

Heading north on Jordan Rd from Elbridge, just after you pass Whiting Rd. on the right, there is an electrical substation on your left surrounded by shrubbery. The speed limit drops from 55 to 30 right there and they hide behind the shrubbery and hit you in the back. Mind you, the speed limit is 55 on the OTHER side of the road heading south (uphill,) but 30 on the northbound side (downhill.) The good news is they have to be pretty far off of your axis of travel, (probably close to 30 degrees,) so their cosine error will be pretty high, so if you happen to be going 40, his RADAR or LIDAR will likely display 34.6 mph.

Local Police sit at intersection and hit vehicles with radar coming down the hill (30 mph).
