Leichester, New York Speed Traps

Police hide out in the driveway of Christiano’s farm, behind the barn. This is right in front of the 55 MPH sign outside of town. The town speed limit is 30 MPH. State troopers are usually trying to get people slowing down from 55 to 30 to go into town. There is no speed zone ahead warning for vistors, so they snag a lot of them. I got nailed leaving town. I was accused of doing 51 in town even though that’s almost impossible since the whole town is comprised of two 20 MPH curves. I did at most 30 MPH through town and accelerated once I got to the 55 MPH sign outside of town. By the time I reached the officer I was past the 30 MPH zone and might have been doing 51. However the speed limit is 55 at that point. Those NY state police sure love those out-of-state license plates.
