Malverne, New York Speed Traps

From the railroad tracks to sunrise highway, there’s cops littered all over that long straightaway. DO NOT exceed 40mph.

Between Exits 17 & 18 Eastbound on shoulder of Southern State Parkway, live troopers in car hiding in bushes.

There is usually a Malverne police unit stationed along Ocean Avenue west of the Southern State Parkway exit (17S)- Speed limit is only 30 mph, but traffic moves quicker. Malverne is only one square mile, so there is nowhere else to catch people.

Beware the Malverne PD as you soon as you enter Malverne travelling south on Franklin Ave leaving North Valley Stream. They hide out in the Baptist church parking lot and have nabbed many a motorist entering the town above the 30 MPH posted speed limit!
