Manhattan, New York Speed Traps
FDR Drive
While I don’t consider this a speed trap, officers should be posted at the exit to the TriBoro Bridge. There is an "exit only lane" that begins immediately past the 2nd Ave exit and drivers routinely stay in the lane and then cut out as they are approaching the bridge exit, effectively jamming traffic at this spot.
FDR Drive near Houston Street
marked nypd charger is positioned on the on-ramp leading from houston st to fdr south, shooting southbound traffic from the rear.
i got hit by him at 10:30am on a weekday, 72 in a 40. unreasonable speed limit for that wide, smooth piece of the fdr.
