Manorville, New York Speed Traps

Wading river road in Manorville is a small two lane road with no shoulder on either side and limited sight around bends. The speed limit is 35. i was given a ticket by a SCPD cope officer for doing 42 in a 35. He said people in the area have made a lot of complaints about this road. Obey the speed limit or be prepared to be hit in the wallet….

Going westbound on LIE right after the sign for exit 70 Manorville. drivers are coming off of a hill & so speeds are up. hides behind bridge, can see you before you see him. usually if you clock higher than 70 they will pull you over. I have seen him multiple times & gotten 1 ticket (years ago). A friend received 2 tix. Still see occasionally, but not every day like in the past.

cop sits at median betwwen exits to monitor rush hour traffic in the am and pm, and to monitor weekend summer traffic.
He writes tickets regardless of where you work or who you know.

These suffolk county cops use this spot and hide behind a bush. The cops call it the "burning Bush" because its a hotspot for speeders!

On the many small side streets among wading river road law enforcement is waiting to spoil your trip. After a long drive on the Long Island Expressway motorists are just waiting for the clear straight aways of wading river road. A road that is posted 35mph should most definetly be 45 or 50mph. Beware
